Thinking of Wonderland
After doing the post about Natalie's Alice in Wonderland inspired party, I thought about a dinner party that I threw last year for a friends birthday! It was mad hatter themed as well and let's just say I went a little mad with the decorations. I used a bed spread that I had that was orange and white to make the table come to life, then used mix matched bottles for flower arrangements, tea cups for soy sauce for my infamous cream cheese wontons, and some yummy Izze sodas with tags tied on them that read "Drink Me." In the invitation I encouraged everyone to wear something whimsical and floral to go with getting lost in Wonderland and all of my lovely friends really came through...

Recently, Summer's adorable cousin Natalie boo turned 3 years old. And she decided to celebrate with an Alice in Wonderland party, so Summer and I decided to make a Mad Hatter themed cake to celebrate her very Merry Unbirthday! I came up with the idea to make a three tiered cake with a tea cup on the top with flowers spilling out of it and spilling down the side of the cake! This was one of the most difficult and adorable cakes that we have made. To secure the cakes we put posts through the middle of them! It was so much fun to mix the colors and find the perfect ones to compliment each other. Me, Summer, and the birthday girl were all ecstatic with the outcome!
