So AS You Wish Cakes has been creating for about a year now, but it isn't until now that we are actually getting things together. I wanted to share some of the other creations that we have created and this is something that I am extremely proud of. My "boyfriend" and next door neighbor Enzo turned 3, last August and for his birthday he requested 60 Sesame Street cupcakes. He is my love so I couldn't say no. It was so time consuming and challenging but SO FUN! The cupcakes turned out so cute, we made Elmo, Cookie Monster (my personal favorite), and the Grouch. I searched the internet for inspiration but couldn't find anything that was up to my standards, so here's what we came up with!

So this past weekend was the weekend of a family friend Annie's wedding. She gave Summer and I the opportunity of making the desserts for our first wedding! So exciting! I met with Annie about two months before the wedding, and I was so relieved to see that she was so easy going and really trusted my taste. During the meeting we decided on 50 red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, 50 vanilla cupcakes with vanilla bean frosting, and 20 apple pies (her now husband proposed in Julian so think Julian pies). She also filled me in on the vibe she was going for, something a little rustic but homey, think mason jars, bottle caps, nothing fancy but everything cute! The wedding was on Saturday the 19th, so I started baking and prepping all day Friday. It was so much fun and I am ecstatic with the outcome! Here are some pictures to show the craziness that ensued. I couldn't have done it without my partner Summer and of course my mama.

Hey Blog World

I thought it would be a good idea to start a blog, as of now it's just me, Amanda but I'm sure Summer will join in and put her input soon. I am mainly starting this to share our creations that we have made as AS You Wish Cakes, but I'm sure I will end up putting up some pictures of things I love, am inspired by, or just things that I want to share...so let the adventure begin!
